WASHINGTON, DC: Bhairavi Goswami, the sizzling model and actress from India, features in a short film called Kamasutra-The Poetry of Sex.
The six minutes long film – which can be viewed below – does not give details on the filmmakers or producers. The film features Goswami and a male actor posing several positions as shown in the book Kamasutra.
India Today had this quote from Goswami on the film: “Filming Kamasutra was an intense 3 day workout. Being an athlete, I am extremely fit and yet while shooting I was sore. Twisting & bending my body into all kinds of positions was very difficult. It proves that men and women were much fitter in 400 BC than today. It was also a revelation that love making was a science and an art that men and women made an effort to learn and practice. It’s about loving every inch of yourself and your lover and about giving pleasure as well as receiving it. As they say, Sex is the best exercise for the human body.”
Wikipedia says Goswami was born in South India to parents of mixed heritage. Her father is part Bengali and part South Indian while her mother is Creole. Goswami left India at the age of six and returned as a teenager to pursue a career in modelling and acting, spending most of her adolescence in the United Kingdom.
On her website, Goswami reveals that she won the “Pantaloons Model Quest” and was runner-up at the “AXN Hot & Wild” contest. She styles herself as the ‘Paris Hilton of the East’. She is also the only Indian model to be featured in Newsweek, Telerama, Courier International and Paris Match, says her website.
As an actor, her debut film was the super hit ensemble comedy “Bheja Fry”. She was cast after director Sagar Ballary saw her performance in the successful play “Tea, Coffee or Me”.
